A haven of peace between castle and leisure park
Laid out in 1970, Lac de Gurson is a man-made lake set in verdant countryside near Villefranche-de-Lonchat in the Dordogne. It lies in the heart of the Bergerac vineyards, a stone’s throw from a 17th-century château destroyed by fire, the ruins of which can be seen from the shore. Lac de Gurson is actually two lakes, 14 and 5 hectares in size. It is the main attraction of a 50-hectare site that also includes lawns, a wood, a leisure park and a picnic area, just a few kilometers from our campsite near Bergerac.
