Tèrra Aventura and geo-caching

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Exploring verdant lands, solving riddles, unearthing treasures… Do you dream of it? It’s time to embark on your own quest during your stay at camping Dordogne. In the heart of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, Tèrra Aventura opens the doors to a unique expedition: geocaching. An adventure for all ages!

The world of Tèrra Aventura

The legends and treasures of New Aquitaine are still very much alive… but they have to be earned. Hidden in the region’s most beautiful spots, the Poï’z, mischievous little spirits, are the guardians of the jewels and lost maps of yesteryear. Here’s a challenge for the whole family: dozens of trails await you throughout the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Armed with a smartphone, a backpack and good shoes, all you have to do is select the one of your choice and set off on your quest from your mobile home rental in the Dordogne!

Embark on an unusual and free treasure hunt

Time for adventure! Tèrra Aventura works on the principle of geocaching: a treasure hunt 2.0 that requires only a smartphone with an internet connection. Before starting the adventure, download the Tèrra Aventura app and create an account. To do this, you can take advantage of the wifi at our campsite with swimming pool in the Dordogne. Then select the route of your choice according to your location, theme or desired duration. Then hit the road! The app will guide you along the route, with stages that will enable you to discover emblematic places in Nouvelle Aquitaine. At each stage, you’ll have to answer a short riddle that will allow you to work out the GPS coordinates of the final point on the route. Your efforts will be rewarded with the discovery of a cache housing a Poï’z!

Discover the Dordogne differently

Tèrra Aventura is all about adventure in a big way: some 50 courses await you all over the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. The choice is yours! By rivers or the ocean, in forests or villages, in the heart of the moors, skirting waterfalls… A total immersion in the region’s most beautiful landscapes awaits you if you embark on a low-cost camping adventure in the Dordogne. Some tours are available by night (Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?), by bike (Roule maboule, La cour de France à vélo) and even on the famous Saint Jacques de Compostelle route (Le blues du pèlerin, Le miracle de la Seugne, Dernier tout avant Compostelle). It’s a great way to explore the region and discover its history, while feeling like a true adventurer.
